  • Best built grill ever!

Daddy Dave • 5 years ago

I have had my Oklahoma Joe’s combo grill smoker for about 3 years and it is the best grill I have ever owned. I have had other brands but none of them have lasted for more than 2 or three years even covered off season. The only problem I have had is the thermometer on the gas side is not accurate. Other than this minor issue everything is perfect the burners are as good as new and the charcoal side is amazing. The next step for me would be a jambo pit but why drop $2600 dollars for a pit when this wonderful grill will do everything I want and need. Absolutely worth every penny! I will have another.

  • Great combination grill and smoker.

I've had my Longhorn Combo for about three years and it's stood up to a lot of abuse. The construction is heavy duty and the assembly was fairly easy and straight forward. I've made some slight modifications such as upgrading the temperature gauges and using gasket sealer on the firebox, but really nothing more is needed. I use it every weekend, typically for grilling and smoking and with a little regular maintenance it's lasted really well. I keep it covered and used mildly soapy water to periodically clean the exterior and make sure to keep the interior well seasoned with regular use and vegetable oil. I do wish, now that I'm using it more, that the steel was heavier gauge and that they had higher end options for offsets where the smoker is welded together, but it's great for the casual barbecuer.

  • A grill for every desire

    Jamie • 5 years ago

I love cooking with gas during the week and save the smoker and charcoal side for the weekend. The gas eye on the side is excellent for cooking vegetables also. I have seen a tiny rust, but that is only because i sometimes forget to put my cover on it (totally my fault). The only thing I have noticed as a defect is the gas line going to the gas burner eye disconnected and I am going to have to see how to connect that part back. altogether, worth the money and it gives me everything i need.

Oh and the thermometer is only on the charcoal side and is a bit off. When cooking with gas its kind of a guess of how hot it is

  • Excellent all-around grill / smoker

    rcarey • 6 years ago

I have smoked many cuts of meat in the Longhorn Combo, and have had amazing results. From ribs to brisket and everything in between, the heat holds steady (albeit an external thermometer is recommended). Quality of material is second to none, and is very heavy, which is a definite plus! The gas side of this grill saves time and is very convenient to have connected to the same grill, rather than having multiple. Great for cooking in a timely manner. Happy with my purchase and will continue to buy/use Oklahoma Joe's products.

  • Great quality for the price

    Dlbdesign • 6 years ago

Bought this on mother's day (my wife's idea) after an hour or so burning the oil off. Thru some steaks and burgers on and they came out perfect. For the price you can't go wrong. It's a heavier gauge steel compared other combo grill out there. I do wish it had infrared burner instead of the old traditional but they work great nevertheless. For the negative comments I've seen out there on the grill rusting out. (Learn to take care of it) it's like a cast iron skillet, seasoned and greasy it last a long time. You wouldn't just throw it out in your yard and not expect it to rust. Otherwise go stainless
